Over the last year I have been experimenting with watercolour crayons, which I have grown very fond of. Essentially because I can be so much more spontaneous with them, and can begin to expand my palette beyond the pastel shades and colours I used previously.

My intention, after I have completed exploring the possibilities with my watercolours, is to expand on my ideas over the next few years by carrying them through to my oil paintings. I come from a very traditional background in painting as you will see from my earlier work, but need to focus more on working from memory and imagination rather than observation.
